ഒരു പൂക്കാലത്തിന്റെ വര്‍ണവും സുഗന്ധവും പോലെയാണ് സിനിമ എന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിലേക്കു കടന്നുവന്നത്. ചലച്ചിത്രരംഗത്ത് പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുമ്പോഴും സിനിമയുടെ താരത്തിളക്കമല്ല, മറിച്ച് ഈ രംഗത്ത് നിലനില്ക്കുന്ന നന്മയും സ്‌നേഹവും ഇണക്കങ്ങളും പിണക്കങ്ങളുമെല്ലാമാണ് എന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായത്. എന്റെ ബാല്യം, കൗമാരം, യൗവനം എല്ലാം സിനിമയ്‌ക്കൊപ്പമായിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ നിങ്ങളറിയുന്ന സിനിമാതാരം കാവ്യാമാധവന്‍ മാത്രമല്ല ഞാന്‍. സിനിമയുടെ വെള്ളിവെളിച്ചത്തില്‍ നില്ക്കുമ്പോഴും നീലേശ്വരം എന്ന വടക്കന്‍കേരളത്തിലെ കൊച്ചുഗ്രാമത്തിന്റെ നന്മയും വിശുദ്ധിയും തെല്ലും കുറയാതെ ഞാന്‍ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ ഏറ്റുന്നുണ്ട്. അതാണ് യഥാര്‍ഥത്തില്‍ എന്നെ ഞാനാക്കുന്ന ശക്തി. ഈ കുറിപ്പുകള്‍ എന്റെ അനുഭവങ്ങളും ഓര്‍മകളുമാണ്. എന്റെ തിരിച്ചറിവുകളാണ്. സന്തോഷപൂര്‍വം ഞാനിത് നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു മുന്നില്‍ സമര്‍പ്പിക്കുന്നു.- കാവ്യാ മാധവന്‍ കാവ്യാ മാധവന്‍ തന്റെ കഴിഞ്ഞ കാലത്തേക്ക് യാത്ര പോകുന്നു. തയ്യാറാക്കിയത് : മധു കെ. മേനോന്‍
